Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of the Oasis Theological Institute platform, courses, and services.

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Oasis Theological Institute (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website, courses, materials, and services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or otherwise accessing the Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have the legal authority to enter into this agreement. Continued use of the Services constitutes ongoing acceptance of these Terms, including any updates posted on this page.

3. Intellectual Property & Content Protection

All content on this platform — including course materials, videos, written lessons, quizzes, assignments, handbooks, certificates, logos, branding, and software — is the exclusive property of Oasis Theological Institute and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not replicate, reproduce, distribute, sell, resell, license, sublicense, publicly display, or create derivative works from any content provided through the Services without our prior written consent. This includes sharing login credentials, downloading videos for redistribution, or republishing course materials on third-party sites.

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate termination of your account, forfeiture of certificates, and legal action.

4. User Conduct & Misuse

You agree not to misuse the Services. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Using the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Engaging in fraud, spam, or deceptive practices.
  • Infringing upon our or any third party’s intellectual property rights.
  • Attempting to interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the platform (e.g., malware, hacking, scraping, probing).
  • Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against instructors, staff, or other students.
  • Sharing your account credentials or allowing others to access the Services under your account.

5. Accounts & Credentials

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account, and promptly update it as needed. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

6. Payment, Billing & Subscriptions

Certain courses and products require payment. All payments, billing, tax collection, subscription management, and refund processing are handled by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, Inc. (“Paddle”). By making a purchase, you agree to Paddle’s Buyer Terms, which govern the transactional aspects of your order.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Course fees, currencies, and billing frequencies are displayed at checkout. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. Failure to pay fees when due may result in suspension of access until the balance is settled.

7. Service Level

We strive to provide uninterrupted and error-free Services, but we do not guarantee that the platform will always be available, secure, or free from defects. Scheduled maintenance, unforeseen technical issues, or third-party service disruptions may occasionally affect availability.

8. Warranties & Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oasis Theological Institute disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will meet your specific requirements or that any errors will be corrected.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to the Services shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the six (6) months preceding the event giving rise to liability. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where required by law.

10. User Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Oasis Theological Institute, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, repeated or serious policy violations, or any other conduct we deem harmful to the platform or community. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately, and any certificates or licenses granted may be revoked.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Texas. Both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Services.
